At the BSI, we know that our members work on a wide range of activities to promote and increase knowledge of immunology to diverse audiences. At our Congress, we want to make sure all of these activities are showcased and valued. For the first time in 2019, we have set up a new abstract category ‘Education and public engagement’.
We encourage submissions of abstracts to this category to showcase innovative techniques being used in higher education immunology teaching and novel approaches to engaging with the public on immunology.
To submit your abstract, please do so via our abstract submission portal.
Submission for education and public engagement abstracts will open on Tuesday 10 September 2019 and will close on Friday 25 October 2019. Abstracts will be reviewed and notified of poster presentation acceptance on an ongoing basis shortly after submission. Please submit your abstract as early as possible to be notified prior to the early registration on 25 October 2019.
As this is a pilot year for this scheme, you will only be able to apply for a poster presentation. We hope to gauge interest in this initiative this year and expand presentation opportunities in future years if warranted.
