Kevin Maloy

University of Oxford, UK

After obtaining a PhD in Immunology at the University of Glasgow, my post-doctoral training was with Profs. Rolf Zinkernagel and Hans Hengartner at University Hospital, Zurich, studying CD4+ T cell responses to viruses. Since 2000, I have been based at Sir William Dunn School of Pathology, University of Oxford, first as a post-doc with Prof. Fiona Powrie, then as a Wellcome Trust Career Development Fellow. In 2008, I was appointed Associate Professor in Experimental Pathology and I was made a Wellcome Trust Investigator in 2014. The research interests of my lab focus on host-bacterial interactions in chronic intestinal pathology, especially on the role of host innate immune pathways in intestinal homeostasis and inflammation.
