Paul Datlinger is a PhD student in the lab of Christoph Bock at the Center for Molecular Medicine of the Austrian Academy of Sciences in Vienna, Austria.

Recently, he developed CRISPR droplet sequencing (CROP-seq) to combine pooled CRISPR screens with single-cell RNA sequencing. He studied Molecular Biology at the Universities of Vienna, Manchester and at Imperial College London.

Besides developing new technologies for next-generation sequencing, his research interests revolve around epigenetic modifier networks, and epigenome editing by exploiting the CRISPR/Cas9 system.
