All delegates, sponsors and exhibitors are invited to attend the Opening Ceremony in the Empress Suite, The Grand from 18:30 – 20:00. This will include the Keynote Lecture, given by Prof Luke O’Neill (Trinity College Dublin). This will be followed by a Welcome Reception and Networking Event for all delegates in Auditorium 1, Brighton Centre from 20:00 – 21:00. All delegates are invited to join us for this wine reception, but please note that no food will be served. Attendance at both the Opening Ceremony and Welcome Reception is included in the price of your registration.

Drinks will be available in Auditorium 1 at the Brighton Centre from 17:00 on Tuesday and Wednesday. All delegates are invited to attend and view the poster presentations on display.

Our Regional and Affinity Groups play a huge role in the BSI, connecting us with our members and running innovative events. Representatives from our Groups will be available on the BSI stand to discuss their work. Come along and find out how you can get involved.
Social media tweet up, 18:00 – 19:00, Wednesday 6 December, BSI stand
The BSI has a huge army of supporters on social media and we would love to meet you in person and to facilitate you meeting each other too! Come along to our ‘tweet up’ to meet fellow social media enthusiasts. Staff from the BSI will also be on hand to answer any queries you have around use of social media and how to promote your work.

Please come and join us for drinks and dancing at the final social event of the Congress. The Congress Party will take place from 21:00 until late in the Empress Suite at The Grand.
Tickets can be purchased during online registration at a cost of £10.00 each and will include two drink vouchers. A cash bar will also be available. Please note that no food will be served at this event, so attendees are encouraged to have dinner prior to arriving at the party.
